Friday, August 30, 2013

I've started working in the eveings most days of the week, so I have my days back. I have more time to draw, and hopefully I can keep up a semi-regular flow of comics while I work on other projects! Also, keep an eye out later this week for a big announcement from Yeti Press about their huge Kick-Starter project.

Some doodles from bar trivia at Logan Bar and Grill on Sunday

Another reminder - I'll be in Minneapolis this weekend for Autoptic! I'm tabling with Leigh Luna - table number 83. I'll have books, prints, tiny homemade action figures, and original drawings by request. Come hang out.

Autoptic - One week away!

Hey all,

I've been busy lately working on strips for New City and a piece for Paul Nudd's upcoming exhibition, Little Man Pee Pool Party.
I also happen to be looking for a new way to have a day job, which takes up time and brain space.

So no drawings have been posted!
Until now.

Here's a doodle of David Bowie from yesterday:

More importantly, I wanted to let you guys know that I'll be at Autoptic, a brand new comics, arts, music and zine fest in Minneapolis on August 18th. Here's the show poster:

and here's a link to the Autoptic site where you can find out all about the fest, the venues, the exhibitors, and everything.

This is the first year for the fest, and it's not just contained to one day. The whole week leading up to it is going to be festering with gallery openings, rock shows, puppets performances, and awesome junk for your art-lovin' eyes.

The actual day of the fest I'll be exhibiting with Leigh Luna

Here's the floorplan - Leigh and I will be at table 83

Come say "Hi" to us!

Andromeda Quarterly #4

I have a few pages in Andromeda Quarterly #4 from Little Tired Press - two single panel journals and a full page comic originally written for an anthology that never saw the light of day. There are a ton of artists in this Anthology, however, and they're all worth checking out. Pick up a copy from the LTP website.

Vitreous Humor at the MCA

Comic Day at the MCA last Saturday was fantastic - Here's a picture of how the Trubble Club mural "Vitreous Humor" turned out. It'll be on display until October, so if you haven't seen it, go check it out!
